Post-Election Hand Audit
This is new for 2026 after a legislative addition. The County Canvass Board will choose an election machine with 5% of the total ballots cast (or as close to) to hand audit. There will be a committee of Election Judges who will be performing the hand audit with election deputies to help with the process.
**If you would like to participate in this process, please email the County Clerk at mmurphy@tetoncountywy.gov. The Clerk’s Office is actively looking for more Republican participation in these election integrity efforts. Please join in! It is open to the public for a reason!
Meet Shannon Brennan, Candidate for WY House District 23
Republican candidate for House District 23, Shannon Brennan, is hosting a listening tour at the Teton County Library tomorrow so you can learn more about who she is and were she stands on Teton County issues. She is going up against incumbent, Liz Storer - a Democrat who has held this House seat at the State Legislature for far too long. Shannon is looking to flip this seat, and we are excited to help her do so.

House District 23 comprises the majority of Teton County. She will most likely be representing you - so, we'll look forward to seeing you there!
County Canvass
The County Canvass board consists of myself and a representative from each Party (also not an Election Judge) who will spend an hour as long as needed to comb through the election materials (anything from absentee request applications to the machine tapes) and certify the results. Following the County Canvass the results become official and are sent to the Secretary of State.
**If you would like to participate in this process, please email the County Clerk at mmurphy@tetoncountywy.gov. The Clerk’s Office is actively looking for more Republican participation in these election integrity efforts. Please join in! It is open to the public for a reason!
Post-Election Audit
This audit usually takes between an hour or two. A representative from each Party will sign Election Judge oaths (as ballots will be visible). This process includes comparing the pdf of the ballot to how the machine reads the ballot. We ask that this is someone who wasn’t an Election Judge.

2026 Primary Election Watch Party
The Teton County Republican Party (TCRP) will be hosting a Primary Election Watch Party on Tuesday evening. We are looking forward to having our local Republican candidates in attendance. For local candidates, this will be more like a "campaign kick off party", since many of the local Primary races are uncontested. The real campaigning happens between the 18th and November 3rd, where Teton County voters will have the opportunity to vote in new representatives that will upend the "Democrat status-quo".
More event details are below. Please join us and invite your friends!
