SHANNON A. BRENNAN - CANDIDATE FOR WYOMING HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FROM HOUSE DISTRICT 23

Shannon Brennan, an energy and environmental consultant, announces her campaign to represent House District 23 in the Wyoming House of Representative. Bringing over 35 years of leadership experience in government, she believes that our community deserves an experienced, credentialed, and forward-looking representative in Cheyenne. As a lifelong resident of the Northern Rockies and Wyoming, she has observed Wyoming state politics closely, and she believes it is time for a new voice for House District 23 in Cheyenne.

She has aligned her life along values of freedom, the Federal Constitution and the rule of law, national defense, water and land rights, balanced public lands and their use, private property rights, and civic duty. She is dedicated to the protection of the family, education, reasonable but limited taxation, freedom of speech, second amendments rights, and everyone’s right to life and the pursuit of happiness.

Her focus is on conservation our natural resources in Teton County, housing, land use and plans for future growth or stabilization, traffic management, water quality and water rights, education, healthcare, eldercare, cybercrime mitigation, responsible taxation to support clear need, and management of the mineral severance tax corpus to guarantee long term, statewide fiscal strength.

She holds a master’s degree in political science and public administration with 35 years of management and leadership experience with the U.S. Departments of Treasury, Health and Human Services, Energy, and other federal and state agencies. She is a Senior Fellow with the Washington-based Partnership for Public Service and holds Stanford certifications in advanced project management and energy innovation, with pending certification in decision analysis.

She has worked with governors, commissioners, and mayors and other stakeholders on issues of environmental, groundwater, and energy production concerns. For the past four years, she has served on the boards St. John’s Health (elected) and the Teton District Board of Health, and she is a member of the Jackson Hole Rotary International and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the Governor’s Groundwater Advisory Committee.

She lives in Moran, WY, with her husband of 37 years, Lloyd Brown, who is also an energy consultant. In their spare time, in addition to eldercare, they enjoy traveling, gardening, fishing, golfing, shooting trap, and attending live opera and classical/pop music performances. They have two children and are now learning the art of grandparenting with a new, first grandchild.
